Tricks On Keeping Your Blow-Out Fresh For A Week

Some may think this sounds insane, but trust me. Once you get the hang of it, getting your hair washed and blown out once a week is a small luxury you can gift yourself. Whether you go to professional and get it done or DIY it, who has time to spend twenty minutes a day (at least!) blow drying their hair? Now, I am not saying you will not have to brush your hair or pick up a hot tool all week, but it will be much less of a hassle.

Day 1. Blow-Out Day

Double cleanse, conditioner on just the ends, and not too much product. I like to add in a cold rinse at the very end to shrink my pores and close the hair cuticle.

Day 2 + 3.

Brush your hair and quickly smooth it out with your blow dryer and round brush. I do not even section my hair when doing this. I do the sides, back, crown and bang area. Must have brush is Spornette Touche, I usually do the 2.5” or the 3”, if you have longer hair you can opt for the 3.5”. Not only are these brushes lightweight and user friendly, you can also set them in your hair like a hot roller.

Day 4 + 5.

Now you can add in some dry shampoo to absorb excess oil and give your hair some extra lift. After applying the dry shampoo, go over your hair with the blow dryer and round brush. On these days, I also like to add in some beach waves.

Day 6 + 7.

On the last two days, I am usually going for a ponytail look or any other type of up-style.

BONUS TRICK - I like using a claw clip to wear my hair up throughout the week because it will not crease the hair like a hair tie will.
