It is the most wonderful time of the year... Fall.

Like every basic bitch, I am obsessed with Fall and get so excited to freshen up my locks for the season. Fall is a time for renewal, change, and warmth. I think of leaves changing, pumpkin spice lattes, and cozy sweaters. Here are my top three ways to refresh your look for fall:

  1. Bangles.

This is a term I use for a shorter, not quite bang, not quite angle. Usually an angle at the nose, lip or chin to create a nice “modern day feather” or wispy fringe, but is nothing too committal. Almost like a toned down Bridget Bardot or Farrah Fawcett.

  2. The Lob.

This is short for a long bob. I like to use pin points like the collarbone, the back of your tee shirts neck line or the first vertebrae of your spine. I like to keep the Lob a little longer in the front and little to no layers. How to style a Lob? Slick straight or beach waves.

  3. Warmth.

The whole season screams warm colors, so why not incorporate that in with your hair? To find the right tone of warmth for you, start by looking at your veins in your inner wrist. Blue veins equal cooler tones like a violet red. Green veins equal warmer tones like coppers and golds. If you have a mixture of both then you are a neutral and can go either way. You can add warmth to hair by doing a gloss or by doing a permanent color. I would start off with a gloss to make sure you like it before committing to the permanent route.
